Reformer Pilates FAQs.

What do I need to bring?
Just bring comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes and grip socks (mandatory, available for purchase at the studio). We provide towels and filtered water for free.
Can I join if I've never done Pilates before?
Absolutely! We offer Beginner classes (KX Foundation) designed to teach you the basics of the reformer and breathing techniques, with close supervision from our trainers.
How many times can I use the Introductory Offer?
The Introductory Offer of 5 Sessions for $60 to use within 2 weeks is only available to new clients of KX (first timers) and is activated from the date of your first booking. You can only use the Introductory offer once per person and this cannot be used in conjunction with any other opening offer. You have a 2 week period to use your 5 sessions and any unused sessions will expire.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
Appropriate clothing is essential as you are going to work up a sweat. We recommend gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet top. Grip socks are mandatory for all sessions. They help with hygiene, safety, and stability on the equipment.
WHAT CLASS SHOULD I START WITH?
You should always start with a Beginner class, even if you have done Pilates elsewhere or are quite fit. KX Pilates uses a lot of small muscle groups, you’ll be surprised how challenging the class might be and may need to build up your strength. You also need to familiarise yourself with the KX Pilates training method so that you can keep pace in our more advanced classes.
What equipment do I need?
The equipment you need will depend on the class you participate in. Some videos may use a Pilates ring or dumbbells – if you don’t have the equipment at home, you can modify the movement or hold something else with a similar weight (like a bag of sugar).
I CAN'T MAKE MY CLASS -- CAN YOU REFUND THE SESSION
Unfortunately, no. We have a 9 hour cancellation policy for group classes and a 24 hour cancellation policy for private classes. If you can’t make your class, please cancel or let us know at least 9 hours ahead (for group classes) or 24 hours ahead (for private classes) or you will lose that session. We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, but we need to be fair to all clients.
